#36 Mind of Christ

Do you know what it means to have the mind of Christ?

For who has known the mind and purposes of the Lord, so as to instruct Him? But we have the mind of Christ [to be guided by His thoughts and purposes]. 1 Corinthians 2:16 (AMP)

Spiritual worship is saying what God says about who you are ...
This is how His Word renews our mind...

The FULL Gospel includes us being transformed into the image of Christ Jesus, not JUST a ticket to Heaven (not that that isn’t miraculous!). Jesus died for so much more.

Salvation is the complete redemption and restoration of mankind. The power and purpose of the Bible is to transform you into the image of Christ. Isn’t it important to KNOW that?! And, to know HOW to do that?!

Salvation is us being made perfect (brought to completion) in His image and likeness. Walking in His love, His nature.

This is how the world sees Christ and His glory is spread across the earth.

NOW, not some future time in Heaven. This requires knowing who you are in Him and renewing your mind so you can be transformed into His image and walk in His divine nature. Speaking His Word, what He says about who we are; not who we used to be before Him, is how we learn who we are and how we become transformed. 

Are you putting off your old nature and putting on your new nature, the one born of Christ Jesus? His Holy Word tells you how AND His Holy Spirit equips you to do it! His Holy Spirit enables you to remain there… understanding God’s Word and what He tells us from beginning to end will enable you to mature in your faith; and the best part? 

HE PROMISES TO DO THE WORK IN US UNTIL WE ARE COMPLETE IN HIM!!! HE GUARANTEES IT!!!

Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness.They will rule the fish of the sea, the birds of the sky, the livestock, all the earth, and the creatures that crawl on the earth.”    Gen 1:26

TRANSFORM YOUR LIFE

In order to be transformed into His image and abide fully in Christ, you must speak the word to renew your mind. When you catch yourself doing or thinking or saying something that is NOT in His Divine Nature, put off the old, put on the new, and speak His Word to renew your mind and be transformed. You are no longer in your old nature. Old habits are but an echo of who you used to be. You are a new creation!

True repentance is a decision to no longer live in my old sinful nature and choosing to live in my new creation self. The power and purpose of the Word is for transformation into His image.

Thank You, Father, that you have given me everything required for life and godliness through my knowledge of You as You call me to Your own glory and goodness.

You saved me and chose me to be sanctified by Your Holy Spirit through faith in Your truth so I may walk in Your divine nature, abiding in You.

Thank You, Father, that You provide me the knowledge and the power in Your Word, who is Christ Jesus so I may be transformed.

Your Holy Word works in me to renew my mind and transform me into Your image. I thank You that I am dead to sin and alive in Christ Jesus!

I am found holy, faultless, and blameless in You because I abide in Your righteousness and purity of the truth.

Your spirit and Your words will never depart out of my mouth. My words, that come from You, are spirit and life. Thank You Lord!!!

Growing in the knowledge of the Lord changes me as He works in me. It is not simply head knowledge which can lead to pride; it is spiritual meat that works to transform me into the divine nature of Christ. I am transformed by cooperating with the Holy Spirit in me, learning the character of Jesus as He writes it on my heart so I learn to put off my old nature and live in His. I AM the NEW CREATION!

Thank You, Father, that by grace through faith, I see myself in Christ Jesus. My old nature is passed away and I am now made new in Him.

Thank You, Lord, that I am reconciled to You and have been given everything You have in exchange for everything I had.

Thank You that I am given the opportunity to bring others to You in the ministry of reconciliation.

Thank You, Lord, that I am no longer connected to sin and the world’s darkness. I am made new, not by my own efforts, but from the work You did on the cross. Thank You that all of me is saved.

My spirit, soul, and body is sanctified completely, and I am made sound and blameless. You promise to do this in me!

Thank You Lord!!

Jesus guarantees that all of Father’s promises are kept with me AND He guarantees that I will do my part of keeping covenant with Father. He does the work in me and through me so I cannot fail in obeying Father and doing all He calls me to do. Jesus is my covenant!

Thank You, Father, that You put Your laws into my mind and write them on my heart.

You are my God, and I am Your daughter. I know You because Your Holy Spirit is in me.

You have cleansed me and given me a new heart. You have put a new spirit within me and removed my heart of stone.

You continually cause me to walk in Your statutes and enable me to obey Your rules.

You have done everything for me, Lord, all by grace through faith.

Thank You, Lord, that Your work in me gives me both the desire AND the ability to do Your good and pleasing will.

You equip me with everything good through Christ Jesus working in me so I may be pure and blameless and filled with the fruit of righteousness.
