Abiding in christ is how this happens John 15
God knew what he was doing from the very beginning. He decided from the outset to shape the lives of those who love him along the same lines as the life of his Son. The Son stands first in the line of humanity he restored. We see the original and intended shape of our lives there in him. After God made that decision of what his children should be like, he followed it up by calling people by name. After he called them by name, he set them on a solid basis with himself. And then, after getting them established, he stayed with them to the end, gloriously completing what he had begun. Romans 8:29 (MSG)
In order to be transformed into His image, you must abide in Christ. In order to abide you must present yourself to God.
The POWER and PURPOSE of the WORD is to be an instrument of transformation…
Transforming prayer:
“I thank You Father that I have been predestined to be transformed into the image of your son, Christ Jesus. I thank You that I abide in Him and He abides in me. I thank you that I have His faith, His love, His power, His wisdom, His strength, His divine health, His patience, His everything.
I lack nothing when I put off the old and put on the new as I abide in Christ. The old is gone. Nothing that cannot be in Christ can be in me as I abide. The new is come.
His faith is perfect, lacking nothing. I do not need to rely on my own. I have His.
His strength is perfect, lacking nothing. I do not need to depend on my own. I have His.
Thank you Father”.
