next, the rescue...

…by canceling the record of debt that stood against us with its legal demands. This he set aside, nailing it to the cross. He disarmed the rulers and authorities and put them to open shame, by triumphing over them in him.  Col 2:14-15

We needed rescue!
He rescued us!

The FULL Gospel includes us being transformed into the image of Christ Jesus, not JUST a ticket to Heaven (not that that isn’t miraculous!). Jesus died for so much more. Are you missing it?

God's plan: tHE rESCUE

“The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me (the Messiah), Because He has anointed Me to preach the good news to the poor. He has sent Me to announce release (pardon, forgiveness) to the captives, And recovery of sight to the blind, To set free those who are oppressed (downtrodden, bruised, crushed by tragedy)”

Luke 4:18 (AMP)

Week 2: the RESCUE PLAN

Next week: How to Abide.

Go deeper with the Face to Face with God teaching!

scriptures in this week's session

For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord as the waters cover the sea.  Habakkuk 2:14 (esv)

Abiding in christ is how this happens John 15

Abide in Christ in order to…

> Enable transformation

in order to…

> Reflect God’s image to the world

in order to…

> Multiply disciples

in order to…

> Have multitudes walk in authority over evil

in order to…

> Subdue the earth and bring ALL His enemies under His footstool

We are told to be witnesses and light. That light comes from the love of Christ in us.

Envision this dark globe being covered in billions of bright lights from all those who believe. But know that BELIEVING the Word is only the first step. SPEAKING the Word and RENEWING YOUR MIND is needed for real transformation. It order to be transformed into His image, you must abide in Christ. In order to abide you must present yourself to God.

The POWER and PURPOSE of the WORD is to be an instrument of transformation…

Transforming prayer:

“I thank You Father that I have been predestined to be transformed into the image of your son, Christ Jesus. I thank You that I abide in Him and He abides in me. I thank you that I have His faith, His love, His power, His wisdom, His strength, His divine health, His patience, His everything.

I lack nothing when I put off the old and put on the new as I abide in Christ. The old is gone. Nothing that cannot be in Christ can be in me as I abide. The new is come.

His faith is perfect, lacking nothing. I do not need to rely on my own. I have His.

His strength is perfect, lacking nothing. I do not need to depend on my own. I have His

Thank you Father”.

  1. After the second session, the Holy Spirit impressed the contrast of the Kingdoms: Light to Darkness, in a whole new way. I have been studying the book of 1st. John and the writer notes throughout this short book a comparison of Light and Darkness. I understood that the contrast was used to separate believers from unbelievers. Today the leaders touched on these two kingdoms we all can choose to live in. The Kingdoms of Darkness and Light both aren’t only a contrast, but a transformation that can come to all people, when crossing over from darkness into light. That change is found once a person receives Jesus as their Lord and savior. From this, the gift of true wisdom is given, to understand the knowledge of God grace, Jesus. This carries on through the rest of the persons life, that is, to understand the ignorance, or spiritual darkness one was walking in. This knowledge helps us to know how to turn away from it and walk in mission of God the Father. By having a relationship with Jesus, all can enter the Kingdom of Light, sharing the good news of faith to a world in need of a hope-filled transformation!

    • Mark, thank you so much for sharing your insight with others. I LOVE that Jesus accomplished what was needed to be done so we can all move forward on the same journey in the Kingdom of Light (knowledge) having come out of the Kingdom of Darkness (ignorance). We literally choose in which Kingdom to live; yet we need to understand there is a choice. That is where sharing with others comes in. Well said:-)

  2. When you spoke Eileen about those here on Earth asking for Jesus to come and save us, I got a vision of him patiently and lovingly saying…”I am already there”…(in each of us). I feel like organized religion tends to encourage this view of ourselves as “unworthy” and NOT divine. We are NOT God, but we are OF God. We ARE capable of miracles…Jesus even said-If you have the faith of a mustard seed you can move mountains (I know I am paraphrasing scripture, no offense intended. I am Catholic-we tend to not as often know scripture to quote. lol) God Bless you all!

    • Mary, I LOVE your vision. While many are praying for the rapture to be saved from the evil in this world, what you wrote could not be more true. Christ is ALREADY here in each one of us. He is promised to return for all to see; yet we are to do our part FIRST as it is written in Hebrews 10:12-14. We will discuss this soon. Jen and I grew up Catholic as well. It was not until I hit 40 and confirmed my life belonged to God that I had a deep desire for scripture. It is the best way to know our Father and all He wants us to know about Him and His plan for us in this world. Unfortunately, in history, the bible was kept from the masses to ‘protect’ them from misinterpreting it’s meaning. Fortunately, we have the bible readily available now and His Holy Spirit to help us understand. Yes, we ARE capable of miracles…not because of our own power, but because Christ is in us. Thank you, Mary, for your insight.
